SUVI MIKKONEN ACHIEVES A BRONZE MEDAL IN THE 39TH INTERNATIONAL A - CLASS DUTCH OPEN
SUVI MIKKONEN CONSIGUE LA MEDALLA DE BRONCE EN EL 39º OPEN INTERNACIONAL DE HOLANDA DE CLASE - A
Suvi Mikkonen has began her European Tour with a bronze medal in the international A - Class tournament.
Suvi Mikkonen ha comenzado la gira europea prevista de open internacional de categoría - A con una medalla de bronce
Suvi participated in the Olympic Category of -57kg, to achieve the bronze medal she had to beat the representatives of Sweden, Italy and Spain. Once she achieved her goal proposed by the technical team, she withdrew from the competition in order to save energy for the next competition that will take place this following weekend.
Suvi Mikkonen participo en la categoría olímpica de - 57kg, para conseguir la medalla de bronce tuvo que vencer a las representantes de Suecia, Italia y España, una vez alcanzado el objetivo propuesto por la dirección técnica quiso reservar fuerzas para los siguientes eventos deportivos que tiene que participar y se decidió seguir con lo panificado y no se presento al enfrentamiento para pasar a la final.
El podio de - 57 kg femenino lo copo todas las deportistas que están clasificadas para la olimpiada de Londres:
It was no surprise that the four athletes on the podium are all qualified for the London Olympics:
1ºCuba
2º Egypt
3º Senegal and Finland
Suvi´s Coach Jesus Ramal commented: We achieved our goal, we had planned to do 2 or 3 matches, and as a consequence we won a medal, even though we didnt compete in the semifinal match so that we could reserve energy for the next two weeks of competitions, Suvi was very strong and fought with a high intensity, we still have the Spanish Open this weekend, and the Belgian Open the next weekend, where we will gather information for her preperation for the European Championships in Manchester in May and the London Olympics in August which is the principle objective: make it to London in optimum conditions, to the most important sports event of the world.
Según comentaba su entrenador Jesús Ramal "Nuestro objetivo esta cumplido, teníamos planificados realizar 2 o 3 combates y como consecuencia de ello hemos conseguido esta medalla de bronce, aunque no disputamos la semifinales para ir reservando fuerzas para los siguientes open internacionales que tenemos en estas dos semanas seguidas, Suvi ha estado con mucha fuerza e intensidad en cada enfrentamiento, todavía nos queda realizar el open de España y el Open de Bélgica, donde obtendremos con todos estos campeonatos información para sus posteriores entrenamientos de cara a la preparación del Campeonato de Europa en Manchester el próximo mes de mayo y las olimpiadas de Londres que es el objetivo principal: llegar en óptimas condiciones al evento más importante del mundo del deporte".
Markku Keinänen, Ambassador of Finland in Spain, received Suvi Mikkonen, Athlete of the Finnish Taekwondo Olympic Team.
On Monday, the 12th of March at 13:00, Suvi Mikkonen, member of the Finnish Olympic Team and Jesus Ramal, Olympic Coach were received by Markku Keinänen in the Finnish Embassy on Castellana street number 15.
The ambassador was very interested in the great results I achieved in the Preolympics for the London Olympic Games. We talked about different subjects, such as; my trainings, my goals for the Olympics, what kind of financial support do I receive, the possibility of getting a some Finnish company in Spain to sponsor me etc. The ambassador wished me lots of luck on this adventure and told me to keep him up to date on my results in the competitions I participate in to prepare for the Olympic Games 2012.
After the meeting with Markku, I was interviewed by Taneli for their web page and presented to Eva Hannikainen, aggregate of press and culture of the embassy.
Recibimiento, recepción y reconocimiento de sus compañeros, entrenadores y amigos de la
HAN KUK International School
Tras la clasificación de Suvi Mikkonen para las olimpiadas de Londres 2.012, fue recibida por algunos compañeros del club, entrenadores y amigos en el aeropuerto de barajas a su regreso de Finlandia, donde estuvo varios días realizando entrevistas en televisión y descanso con su familia.
Al día siguiente se realizo una fiesta sorpresa organizado por todos los compañeros de entrenamiento diario de Suvi en la sede de la Han kuk International School en la Calle Segovia nº21 de Alcobendas, contando con la asistencia de varios deportistas del programa de tecnificación en el proyecto jóvenes talentos llamado programa “Jóvenes Olímpicos”.
El pasado lunes 27 de febrero, el club Taekwondo Moralzarzal estuvo presente en la entrevista realizada a Jesús Ramal entrenador olímpico y Suvi Mikkonen que gano su clasificación para las olimpiadas de Londres 2.012 en el pasado preolímpico europeo celebrado en Kazan (Rusia), fueron entrevistados por Raúl García y su compañera Irene Sánchez.
Al finalizar la entrevista, Suvi comento “lo he pasado genial aunque un poco nerviosa cuando me preguntaban, no estoy acostumbrada a realizar entrevistas en la radio, pero la experiencia me ha gustado mucho”.
El Club Taekwondo Moralzarzal quiere agradecer a ABC Radio Sierra y en especial a Raúl García por la entrevista y el buen momento que hemos pasado, y por la difusión de este deporte olímpico.
